Terms of Service, Purchases & Refunds
Effective date: July 16, 2026. These terms govern accounts, purchases and refunds on Niagara-Contractors.ca (“NRCH”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or making a purchase you agree to them, together with our Privacy Policy. All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD).
1. Accounts & Social Sign-In
You may register with an email address or via Facebook Login / Google Sign-In. You’re responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for activity under your account. Business owners must have authority to represent the business they list or claim. We may suspend accounts that post false credentials, fake reviews, or spam. See the Privacy Policy for what data social sign-in shares and how to delete your data.
2. Listing Packages
Listing packages determine how many listings you can publish and for how long: Basic (free — 1 listing, visible 30 days), Standard ($9.99 — 3 listings, visible 60 days), Featured ($19.99 — 5 listings, visible 120 days, featured placement and Verified-badge eligibility). New listings are reviewed before publication; we may decline listings that violate these terms. When a listing period ends the listing expires automatically — we’ll email you before it does; renewing re-publishes it.
3. Memberships & Subscriptions
Membership plans bill automatically (monthly or yearly, as shown at checkout) through our payment provider, Stripe, until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from My Subscriptions — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep access until then. If a renewal payment fails, there is a 3-day grace period before member benefits pause. Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice before your next renewal.
4. Pay-Per-Lead
Businesses can purchase individual quote requests (“leads”) at the price shown (currently $5.00 CAD per lead unlock). A lead is a homeowner’s request as submitted — we don’t guarantee the job, response, or outcome. If a lead is spam, a duplicate, or contains invalid contact details, report it from your My Leads page within 7 days and we’ll credit or refund it after review.
5. Refunds & Cancellations
Paid listing packages: refundable within 14 days of purchase if no listing has been published under the package; otherwise fees are non-refundable once the listing is live. Subscriptions: cancel anytime as above; we don’t prorate partial billing periods except where required by law. Leads: refunded or credited only under the invalid-lead policy in section 4. Duplicate or erroneous charges are always refunded — contact Support or [email protected] and we’ll resolve it within 5 business days. Refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe.
6. Marketplace Disclaimer
NRCH is a directory and validation platform. Contracts for work are strictly between the homeowner and the contractor — we are not a party to them and don’t guarantee workmanship, pricing, licensing, or insurance. Badges reflect documents provided to us at verification time; always confirm current credentials directly before hiring. Reviews are the opinions of their authors.
