2. No Contractor-Client Relationship
Niagara-Contractors.ca is solely a listing and lead generation platform. We do not provide contracting, handyman, or home improvement services. Any agreement or contract entered into between you and any contractor found through our platform is strictly between you and the contractor. We are not a party to such agreements and disclaim all liability arising from those transactions.
3. Contractor Verification and Responsibility
Contractors are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their listings. While we manually review submissions for completeness, we do not independently verify licenses, qualifications, insurance, or performance. It is your responsibility to conduct your own due diligence before hiring any contractor.
4. No Endorsement or Guarantee
Listing on our platform does not constitute endorsement, approval, or recommendation by Niagara-Contractors.ca. We make no guarantees regarding the quality, safety, legality, or suitability of any contractor or their work.
5. Third-Party Content and Links
Our site may contain links to third-party websites or resources for your convenience. We do not control, endorse, or assume any responsibility for the content, products, services, or practices of these third parties. Accessing such links is at your own risk.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Niagara-Contractors.ca, its owners, affiliates, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use or inability to use the website, reliance on information provided, or dealings with contractors found via the site.

Your use of the site and reliance on any information is at your own risk. You agree to release and hold harmless Niagara-Contractors.ca from any claims or damages resulting from your use of the platform.

We reserve the right to modify or update this Disclaimer at any time without prior notice. The most current version will always be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
9. Personal Information We Collect
When you use Niagara-Contractors.ca we collect: (a) account information — your name, email address, and password, or the profile details shared by Facebook/Google if you sign in with a social account; (b) listing & profile content you submit as a business owner (business name, address, phone, photos, licence and insurance details); (c) activity content such as reviews, bookmarks, messages to businesses, quote/lead requests, bookings, and questions you ask our AI assistant; (d) transaction information for package, membership and lead purchases — payments are processed by Stripe and we never see or store your full card number; and (e) technical data (IP address, browser, pages visited) via cookies and our hosting/security providers (Hostinger, Cloudflare, LiteSpeed) and Google reCAPTCHA, used to keep the site fast and secure.
10. Signing In with Facebook or Google
You can create an account or log in using Facebook Login or Google Sign-In. When you do, we receive only your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider — never your password. We use this information solely to create and secure your NRCH account and to contact you about your account and activity. We do not post to your social profiles, access your friends list or contacts, or share your information back to Facebook or Google beyond what is required to authenticate you. You can disconnect the social provider at any time in your account settings on Facebook (Settings → Apps and Websites) or Google (myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party access); your NRCH account will remain accessible via email login.
11. How We Use and Share Information
We use your information to operate the directory: connecting homeowners with contractors, delivering quote/lead requests to the business you chose, processing purchases, sending transactional emails (bookings, claims, reviews, receipts), and improving the platform. We share information only with: the business you contact (your lead details), and our service providers — Stripe (payments), Google (reCAPTCHA, sign-in), Meta/Facebook (sign-in), and our AI provider for search/chat queries. We do not sell your personal information. We comply with Canada’s PIPEDA and Ontario privacy requirements.
12. Data Retention and How to Delete Your Data
We keep your account data while your account is active. To delete your account and personal data: (1) log in and use your Dashboard profile settings, or (2) email [email protected] with the subject “Data deletion request” from the email on your account. We will confirm and delete your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons (e.g., purchase records). If you signed in with Facebook, you can also trigger deletion by removing the app in Facebook → Settings → Apps and Websites; requests received that way are honoured on the same 30-day timeline. AI chat conversations are automatically deleted after 30 days.
